Czech Republic
Welcome to Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in central Europe. The country has undulating hills, dense forests and beautiful scenery.
It has the world’s largest ancient castle, Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge connecting Prague’s Old Town and Lesser Town, and busy but interesting Prague Square.
Prague, Cradle of Czech Culture
Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is located in the center of the European continent and straddles the banks of the Vltava River. It is a beautiful and ancient mountain city. It is also the first city in the world to be designated as a World Heritage Site. Goethe called Prague "the most beautiful city in Europe."
Thousands of old buildings from the Middle Ages are well preserved here. Gothic and Baroque spires can be seen everywhere in every street and alley in the old town, so Prague is called the "City of Hundred Towers".
In addition to the historic churches, castles and streets, numerous opera houses, concert halls, museums and cinemas make the city even more intellectual and elegant.
