Taiwan Food
Countless Taiwanese snacks and busy gourmet night markets are synonymous with Taiwan. Those traditional snacks full of sincerity are "hidden" in the shops in the streets and alleys of Taiwan. The warm and kind Taiwanese show a strong sense of humanity, which will add extra value to your journey.
All kinds of temples and worship activities are spread all over the island, among which the Mazu Temple is the most popular. Taiwanese belief in Mazu has enabled the local traditional culture to be well continued and inherited.
Practical Taiwan Travel Tips
Best Time to Visit Taiwan
The best time to travel to Taiwan is spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November).
Spring (March-May): The spring weather in Taiwan is comfortable and suitable for outdoor activities. Except for the long cloudy and rainy period in the north in March, the weather in other areas is almost sunny. The Kenting Spring Wave Music Festival in early April every year always attracts a large number of tourists to go to the carnival. Spring is also a good time to enjoy flowers in Taiwan. Yangmingshan and Alishan are the first options for tourists to enjoy flowers.
Summer (June-August): Summer is a good time for swimming in the sea in Taiwan. Kenting in the south is popular for all kinds of water sports, and Hualien in the east is also popular for whale watching trips. Typhoons that often "provoke trouble" will come frequently in summer, and at least 1-2 typhoons will be encountered every summer.
Autumn (September-November): Autumn is the "big peak season" for traveling in Taiwan. During the period, Taiwan is sunny and rainless, and the temperature is not as hot as summer. Without the constant rain and typhoon, many people choose to travel to Taiwan.
Winter (December-February): Winter is the off-season for traveling in Taiwan, and it is also the time when the temperature is the lowest throughout the year. It is rainy in the north, and Kenting in the south is occasionally accompanied by "mountain wind" (equivalent to a mild typhoon).
